Superior Pearl & Natural Jade Knotted Necklace

Timeless elegance with a touch of colour! This necklace features 50 superior-quality 8mm round freshwater pearls, with 6mm natural jade beads set between groups of five pearls. The beads are hand-knotted on silk and finished with a sterling silver clasp. It was designed by Merchant Campbell and made here in Australia, and it’s exclusive to our range.

Available in two variations

  • Black silk: 50 pearls and 10 jade beads, approx. 56cm long. The black knots make a striking contrast with the pearls.
  • Green silk: 50 pearls and 9 jade beads, approx. 55cm long. The green knots pick up the colour of the jade for a soft look.

These are some of the finest pearls we’ve sourced, beautifully round with a rich, glowing lustre. We hand-picked them in person in Lombok, Indonesia, through trusted contacts we’ve built up over years of travelling and sourcing. For centuries, pearls have been treasured as symbols of wisdom, purity and calm, and they have long been linked with the moon and the gentle pull of the sea.

Our natural jade beads were also sourced in person, this time through our contacts in Thailand. Jade has been prized across Asia for thousands of years and is traditionally known as a stone of harmony, good fortune and protection. It’s also said to bring prosperity and long life. The flashes of green add colour and character to the classic pearl strand, creating a soft, serene combination with a beautiful sense of balance.

Each bead is individually knotted on silk. This traditional technique keeps the beads from rubbing against each other and helps protect them, and it also gives the necklace a lovely, fluid drape.

Sitting just below the collarbone, it’s lovely with a little black dress for an evening out, or with a crisp white shirt for everyday polish. Pair it with our pearl and jade drop earrings and stretch bracelets for a coordinated look. It also makes a gorgeous gift for a special occasion.

Care
Pearls love to be worn, but they’re delicate, so put your necklace on last and take it off first. Apply perfume, hairspray and lotions beforehand, and remove it before swimming, showering or exercising. Keep the silk dry, as water can weaken and stretch it. After wearing, wipe the necklace gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store it flat, rather than hanging, in a soft pouch or box, away from other jewellery. Sterling silver can tarnish naturally over time, so give the clasp an occasional gentle buff with a silver polishing cloth. As with all knotted silk, it may need restringing after years of wear, which is a sign it’s been well loved!

We ship Australia wide and use Australia Post Parcel, unless Express Post shipping has been selected. Please allow 2–3 working days for delivery to metropolitan areas for orders placed within business hours. For regional locations, WA and sale orders, please allow up to 3–10 working days.

If you have selected Express Post shipping, assuming your address lies within the Express Post network and you have purchased within business hours (see below), Express Post orders will arrive in 1–2 business days.
