Who says shower caps can't be beautiful? Ours are hand block printed in Jaipur, India, so they turn an everyday essential into something you'll be happy to leave hanging on the bathroom hook!

Block printing is a traditional craft that's been practised in Rajasthan for centuries. Artisans carve intricate designs into wooden blocks, dip them in dye and press them onto fabric by hand, one impression at a time. This means every cap has its own handmade character, with the gentle variations that make block printing so special.

Each shower cap is made with three layers. The outside is a sturdy cotton canvas, and there's an inner layer of plastic to keep the water out. Inside, a soft cotton lining in a contrasting print in the same colourway adds a lovely surprise. A self-elastic edge keeps it comfortably in place and fits most heads.

Use it in the shower or bath, while a hair mask works its magic, or tuck it into your toilet bag for travel. They make a gorgeous gift, too, and are a thoughtful addition to a hamper or a stocking.

Care

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, and avoid wringing or twisting. Gently reshape it and hang it to dry in the shade, away from direct sun, which can fade the colours. Don't tumble dry, iron or dry clean, as heat can damage the waterproof layer. Between uses, hang it somewhere airy so it can dry out completely.
