Product Description

As the weather cools down, it's all about layering.  Finish off your outfit with one our beautiful and stylish unisex hand woven 100% pashmina stoles, made from pure fibre sustainably grown on the steppes of the Himalayas. Warm and so cosy yet light and so, so soft, our natural colour pashmina stoles are the perfect pieces to take when travelling or to throw on as you race out the door on a chilly day or evening. ---

The pashmina in these shawls is a luxurious textile that is woven from the hairs combed from the necks of cashmere goats from the Changthang area of Ladakh.  These goats live long, happy lives tended to by traditional goatherds in their natural habitat.

Pashminas have long been associated with ultimate luxury. Mughal rulers (16th-18th centuries) not only appreciated these pieces of art personally, but also encouraged the development of the industry. Kashmiri shawls soon caught the attention of the European markets, and became part of elite fashion starting in the late 18th century. The high demand for similar products resulted in the evolution of Europe’s own jacquard and imitation tapestry looms in the 19th century and ironically, led to the decline of the indigenous Pashmina industry of Kashmir. The introduction of the factory produced mixed “Pashmina” in the recent past has further damaged the market for the original Kashmir shawl.

Pashmina Review

Overall very happy with this. However as I’m a big unit and am wearing it outside it’s not quite long enough.
As a fashion accessory or if it’s worn by those of smaller height/size it’s perfectly adequate. Otherwise it’s great.
Maybe an longer option is possible subject to additional charge?

Hi Bernard

Thanks very much for your review. I'm glad you're happy with the pashmina.

I'm sorry it's not quite big enough for you. These sizes are the traditional sizes made by the Kashmiris which they've always made since time immemoriable. But you make a good point, and I'll ask my guys about the possibility of making longer stoles next time I'm buying. I don't see why this can't be done.

Thanks again for your feedback - we love to hear what you have to say and take it on board.

Kind regards

Margot & team
