Apply perfume, hairspray and lotions beforehand, and remove it before swimming, showering or exercising. Keep the silk dry, as water can weaken and stretch it. After wearing, wipe the necklace gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store it flat, rather than hanging, in a soft pouch or box, away from other jewellery. Sterling silver can tarnish naturally over time, so give the clasp an occasional gentle buff with a silver polishing cloth.
