Woven and embroidered by hand in Morocco for Merchant Campbell, our Saba cushions are available in a multitude of soft, washed-out colours to suit any bedroom or family room. High on the list of charming things about these cushions is that the cushions are mostly bleached and stone washed, resulting in lovely, washed out colours.
Equally at home on a bed, the sofa, your favourite reading nook or day bed, you'll find it hard to choose. Perfect for scattering, these cushions are both soft and durable. Pair these cushions on a bed or sofa for a beautiful finish.
Hand-made using techniques of dying, weaving and embroidery passed down through generations, no two Saba cushions are exactly alike. Mix and match your heart out and go with the flow. That's what this relaxed type of look is all about. But, let's clear something up straight away. These cushions are not made from cactus silk. And I have been told by several independent Moroccan friends that no "cactus silk" cushions on the market these days are actually made from cactus silk; it's simply not viable and the artisans could not keep up with demand, and nor could they harvest and process it quickly enough to supply the market. Plus, harvesting the silk is very, very tough on hands so commercial supply is not possible. So in order to keep the weaving, embroidery and dying traditions going, these cushions are made from rayon. And, I am assured, so are all the others out there.
Please note that the insert is not supplied but is easily ordered online or bought at good bedding or interiors shop.
